Postpartum massage is a full body massage that occurs within the first 3 months after you give birth to your baby. Other than the general benefits of massage therapy like pain relief, stress reduction and relaxation, postpartum massage benefits include reduced swelling, improved milk production, hormone regulation, reduced anxiety and depression and better sleep.
Abdominal massage or Belly massage is included in the treatment. It helps in optimal mental and physical recovery after birth.
if you have had a full term normal delivery you can start massages anytime you feel comfortable. 
If you have had a cesarean delivery, then you need to wait for 6 weeks to start your massages, Also it is advisable to consult your Doctor or your Gynae to make sure it is safe to do so.
